Born in Montreal, Canada of Portuguese parents, Joe credits his ability to speak three languages---English, French, and Portuguese---to having been born in a multi-cultural setting.
Joe’s artistic talents emerged at a young age; creating drawings and paintings while in high school where he was also introduced to the art of photography. He later received his formal training at Dawson Institute of Photography in Montreal.
